once you pop, you can't stop

On Friday our living room fan died. We use our fans as a major source of cooling power, so this was not good. Saturday, Sweetie and MIL installed this beauty. The minute they finished, I noticed how ugly the chandelier in our dining room looked in comparison. Today when Sweetie got home we had to go back to the store and get a matching fan for the dining room, which will be so very nice, as well as a tiny fan for the laundry room. Why is it when you do one improvement that everything else that you would like done becomes apparent? I love our little house. We bought this house in 1999 as a starter home. We had no intention of staying this long. It is small, has storage issues, and no backyard. But we love it, it is ours. And I don't see us moving anytime soon. And the honey-do list just grows and grows.

The Fourth was a big success. We went to the Nelson 5k. Sweetie, BestFriend, MotoDiva, Jeff, and IronDiva all participated. Bug and I sat out as she got sick on the way to the race site. It was fun and did not rain on us during the event, though it did rain hard during our nap. The evening was very nice. No rain and the temp was very comfortable. We had good food and pretty fireworks.
